The Back-To-School Book Tag

Scarlet Reader

Giphy – GIF

Fall has begun and those long yellow rockets are moseying down the streets again and toting off tiny humans to fill their brains with a little thing called knowledge that in some cases just seeps out of their ears. Not going to lie, I didn’t pay much attention in school, yet I magically passed with some great grades. I always had my nose in a book, and no, not a textbook. LOL. I must’ve learned something.

So, this is a book tag for back to school. Some subjects you loved and some you dread and possibly some you slept through. Here is a book tag to commemorate those days!

Let’s get started!

The Scarlet Reader

Canva

The class that taught you one of the most complicated and ever-changing languages on the planet. I still suck at it-both writing it and speaking it. LOL. But hey, it’s what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and I’m all right with that. It also helped me discover just how much love Shakespeare and Gothic literature and other genres and that I want to write.

What is a favorite classic or book poetry of yours?

Stargazing at Noon
Author: Amanda Torroni
Scarlet Reader

Amazon

I haven’t read it yet, but I have such high hopes that it’s the one I’m choosing. I can’t wait to read it.

Scarlet Reader

Somehow letters and shapes found their way into this subject. This is worse than English in my opinion.

A book with a number or shape (freaking Geometry. Smh.) in the title.

The Darkest Star
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Scarlet Reader

Macmillian

A star is totally a shape. I’m also super excited for the next book in the series: The Burning Shadow that’s coming out next month.

Scarlet Reader

I loved all the sciences, especially Astronomy. They were an adventure for my creative brain, something I could really use later on. And, I do to this day when I write, creating worlds or manipulating them into what I see in my imagination. I can take this very real and solid fact and turn it into magic. I love it.

What is a Science Fiction or Dystopian book or series that swept you away?

The Dark Tower series
Author: Stephen King
Scarlet Reader

Amazon

Currently in the middle of this one. It’s been pretty wild and having just finished the fourth book and now consider myself hooked on it. It’s pretty dense but that’s the King-man for you. Full of detail, sarcasm, and immense storytelling that will swallow you whole.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

History was majorly touch-and-go for me. Sometimes I was enthralled and sometimes I wanted to sleep, which is why I sat in the back.

What’s a historical book you enjoyed? How about a book that you both loved and hated?

The Last Magician
Author: Lisa Maxwell
Scarlet Reader

Simon & Schuster

I went with the historical book. It’s not often that I get swept up in a historical book, but The Last Magician really swept me away and if I can promote it I will. With magic and danger and the cusp of romance and secrecy and betrayal who could ask for more!?

As a bookworm and a person who just does not athlete well (No, I’m serious. I will more than likely hurt myself than be a valuable teammate), this was not a class for me.

What’s an action-packed book that made you sweat?

Wicked
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Scarlet Reader

Amazon

From some kickass moments of kicking fae ass to some seriously steamy moments, I was always out of breath.

Scarlet Reader

I loved art…though I can’t draw to save my life. I’m a big lover of covers, not because I think they solely decide whether I will read the book or not, but because graphic designers put in as much work into those covers as authors do their books. So, praise to the cover artists!

What is a book with an unbelievably, astounding, gorgeous, can’t look away cover?

Ink and Bone
Author: Rachel Caine
Scarlet Reader

Amazon

There are so many books with unforgettable covers, but if I have to choose one, I’m going with this one because it really just made me swoon and fall in love. I love books. I love the way this book and every one them in the series captures the traditional, old fashion, and ancient cover of a book well-kept through history. The colors are vibrant and correlate with the story so beautifully. It just truly gives my sense some overload and nostalgia in the way a library does and that’s the point.

Never an easy class to sit through and more often than not showed you the most uncomfortable things about life and the many ways you can die. Awesome!

Name a sad book that just made your stomach sink.

Glass Sword
Author: Victoria Aveyard
Scarlet Reader

Goodreads

Book two of the Red Queen Quartet. After reading it, I couldn’t start the next book for close to three months I was such a mess. That ending…getting me a teared up just thinking about it.

Bonus one? (Because honestly, who can choose just one all the time?): We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach. I still get teary-eyed sometimes when I hear ‘Landslide’ by Stevie Nicks because it reminds me of specific parts of the book.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

These days, colleges love if you can get even just a little bilingual. Most of them want two or more years of study. I took three years of Spanish and then some more during my college years. It was pretty fun.

What’s a diverse or otherworldly book you enjoyed?

Undertow
Author: Micheal Buckley
Scarlet Reader

Goodreads

Giving those Aquaman vibes, I didn’t expect to get pulled into a world of the sea fighting the land and in Coney Island no less. Now I just need to get the other two books!

Scarlet Reader

Canva

It’s not a club I joined. I was a choir girl for 7 years. My voice is shot now, but I still sing terribly in the car and the shower. The drama club and other arts are such a staple and keep creativity alive and it’s very sad how underestimated and underfunded they are these days.

What’s a romance that pulled you in and wrapped you around its little finger?

Paper Princess
Author: Erin Watt
Paper Princess - amazon

Amazon

This one of many. I wanted to mix it up a little so that you know I do many  MANY favorites. LOL. This was an intense, contemporary book that didn’t hold back. Left me holding my breath a few times not only because it could get super-steamy but because it could get me shook up pretty hard. Some of the things that happened were c-r-a-z-y! So wild! I would be hopelessly addicted if it were a TV show.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

The class that was meant to help prepare you for life after high school with a variety of things from cooking to sewing to complex paperwork. Personally, I believe it needs to be a full year class, not just a quarter semester. You taught me how to pay a mortgage for a house I’ll probably never own because it’s more expensive than I can earn at the moment and how to pay taxes, which was such a confusing mess. However, I did learn to be braver and risk-taking by taking up my teacher’s dare to eat a vinegar-soaked pig’s foot. And hey, I am a fantastic seamstress and can cook some pretty good brownies. Woohoo?

What book left you with mixed feelings or confusion afterward?

Actually, I just finished one recently.

Night Shift
Author: Charlaine Harris
Scarlet Reader

Goodreads

I just…struggled. LOL. I had high hopes and they just fizzled and disappeared the way rain does after a downpour in the middle of summer.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

The course that you take with your gym teacher who just reads from the manual which you can do at home. But you get credit, so you might as well if only to make sure that you won’t be that person who doesn’t nearly run over the person on the sidewalk during the driving test.

What book drove you out of your comfort zone?

The Princess Diarist
Author: Carrie Fisher

Princess Diarist - goodreads

Now, I put this up here not because it was because of some theme or dirtiness n the books. It’s because I don’t typically get into memoirs or any non-fiction really. Just not for me usually. But, I am a major fan of the princess. She’s one of my idols. So, I wanted to read about one of the biggest breakout moments of her life: Star Wars.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

Study Hall: It was the one period in the day you could sleep. Of course, I was the person that did all my work because I did not want to lug books home. Just nope. I also got to go to the library which, like any bookworm, is my happy place.

What’s a book you didn’t expect to enjoy but did?

Twilight
Author: Stephanie Meyer
Scarlet Reader

Goodreads

No joke. It was middle school and everybody was carrying it around and talking about it and I didn’t get what was so appealing because I’m a Buffy girl. My vampires didn’t sparkle. They were sarcastic and soulless (except for two) and they got dusted. But, these ones sparkled and a strange introvert fell in love with one and it was rainy and I was like…”Wha?”. I did a thing I don’t do too often. I fell into the trend. Now, I didn’t become as obsessed as many others did, but I did nit-pick because of the mythos of vampires and werewolves. LOL. The story itself was beautiful, and in a way, tragic. I think I’ll reread them at some point.

And a couple of college courses too…

Scarlet Reader

Canva

One of the best subjects ever, but that may be because the results can be pretty horrifying and the magic is out of this world. Plus, the way these stories came into being and how they come from a stem of truth is mindblowing. I get super geeky and ecstatic with mythology and I mean all kinds.

A fantasy book that stems from mythology that you couldn’t get enough of.

American Gods
Author: Neil Gaiman
AG - bustle

Bustle

This will always be one of those ones that is at the top of my list. Through and through, this book is just laced with the gods and stories we know not to mention the new gods we don’t even think about.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

Not. My. Favorite. Subject. At. All. Complex with so much masculinity. Sheesh. However, putting the Pavlov effect in motion can be hysterical. And, I’m also fascinated with dreams. I guess it’s trying to decipher everything else that’s just not up my alley. That and the idea of analyzing myself is shudder-worthy. I don’t hate the subject, but it’s just not for me. Book, however? YESSSS.

A thriller that had you jumping out of your seat.

Wake
Author: Lisa McMann
Scarlet Reader

Goodreads

Thriller can be touch and go because it all depends on what keeps you clinging to the edge of your seat. I have a fascination with dreams and in this book, a girl can get sucked into people’s dreams. Something deadly is going on and she must figure it out before people, or possibly herself, end up dead.

Scarlet Reader

Canva

Understanding the history of women and men, and venus and mars, and learning about sexuality can be overwhelming, but so useful in real life. The world is evolving and we as the human race are a major part of it. Learning the history and continuing to live in the history being made today is eye-opening and exciting. No longer should anyone fe afraid to be anything or anyone other than themselves.

An LGBTQ book or one with LGBTQ involvement that you love and/or it inspired you.

All Soul’s Trilogy
Author: Deborah Harkness
Scarlet Reader
Pretty Sassy Cool

Sexuality isn’t something that is of concern in this trilogy I’ve realized. It’s more important to love and be loved and just be who you are than anything else and those themes are so strong and I’m so in love with this series!

16

I was never one to get up on stage in front of a lot of people. I loved EVERYTHING behind it from designing sets to hands-on building them to make-up and costume. Some of these classes I didn’t get the chance to take, but those that I did were so much fun.

What’s a play that you would recommend people to read?

The Cherry Orchard
Author: Anton Chekov
Scarlet Reader

Bloomsbury Publishing

Okay, so I love A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare and definitely recommend it, but to reach outside that one I went with a Russian play. I enjoy Russian Literature so much and this entwined family, romance, desperation, and romance.

If you could go to any school, what one would you choose? ANY. SCHOOL.

Me? Not going to lie, I would’ve wanted to go to either Sunnydale High or Beacon Hills High. I live for the “Will I die by some mysterious supernatural cause?” kind of day. Keeps life interesting. LOL. And I probably would’ve gone to UC Sunnydale for further education. That or Whitmore College (The Vampire Diaries).

Valentine’s Day Book Tag

Scarlet Reader

Hello my epic booknerds!!

So, I discovered this book tag from The Sassy Book Geek  and it looked like so much fun! Here’s to Valentine’s Day and that strange weird emotion and chemical that makes everyone gushy and awkward. You know, love?

1.) Stand Alone Book You Love

Charlie St. Cloud

Thee Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud

Author: Ben Sherwood

This is such a beautiful book. Definitely a favorite of mine. While breaching the world of the supernatural, it does so in a delicate and sweepingly romantic way that give my emotions palpitations.

2.) Dystopian Book You Love

Scarlet Reader

Red Queen

Author: Victoria Aveyard

I’ve read Red Queen, but am going tot reread it since I finally got Glass Sword. I really enjoyed this book because it’s incredibly original and has me on edge for the entire ride.

3.) A Book That You Love But No One Else Talks About

Scarlet Reader - LUX

LUX

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

This was a book that had me hooked from the start. I discovered it when it came into our bookstore and never would’ve given it a second thought because I don’t read much Sci-Fi. Then a friend of mine recommended it and now it sits on my favorites shelf. There’s never been much talk about this book. It’s like a little secret that’s juicier than a peach.

4.) Favorite Book Couple

Scarlet Reader - Morganville Vampires: Glass Houses & The Dead Girls Dance

Shane Collins & Claire Danvers

They were and are still one oof my tops loves. They are one hell of a team and so sweet. I could get totally spoilery, but personally, I’d rather you just go read The Morganville Vampires.

5.) Book That Other People Love But You Haven’t Read Yet

Scarlet Reader

Goodreads

Divergent

Author: Veronica Roth

I keep getting told I should read this and I want to and at some point I will, but I’ve got a long list of other books to get to first.

6.) A Book With Red on the Cover

Author: Sally Green

I’m getting ready to read this and I can’t wait.

7.) A Book With Pink on the Cover

Goodreads

A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares

Author: Krystal Sutherland

Okay, so it’s not just a romance, but a great novel about great superstitions, chasing death, and confronting mental illness.

8.) You were given a box of chocolate what fictional boyfriend/ or girlfriend would have given them to you.

Poison Princess

Scarlet Reader

I’m going to have to roll with Jack Deveaux of Poison Princess. It’s tricky to decide because while I fangirl, I don’t usually think about fictional boyfriends LOL. Since I’m put on the spot, he is definitely a top pick.

9.) You are Single on Valentines Day. What Book would you read? What TV show would you watch? What Movie would you watch?

Scarlet ReaderScarlet Reader .   Scarlet Reader

Book: Legendary by Stephanie Garber

Out with the Old in with the New Book Tag

Hello, booknerds!

Hope the beginning of this new year has been good to everyone. Thinking about a new book tag for the month and about all of the new releases coming out was a little overwhelming, but I wanted it to be something original.

Voila!

In with the new and out with the old! Or, not so much old since old books are as good as any, but in the sense that we welcome brand new releases and new reads with anticipation and tingly delight. So, for the new!

Scarlet Reader - book tag

Two new releases you are looking forward to reading this year.

Author: Darren Shan

I enjoy me a good zombie-fest.

A series you’re finishing.

from the grave - arcana chronicles wiki

From the Grave

Author: Kresley Cole

This one has me weepy. Originally, it was set to come out this March, but has now been pushed back to August. While I’m super impatient, I’m simultaneously happy to wait if only to make the series last longer. I’m not ready for it to end. The last one, The Dark Calling, ripped me up pretty good.

This book tag is for anyone and everyone which is why I didn’t tag anyone. Feel free to do it and pass it on. Just don’t forget to tag me since this is one I created.

12 Days of Christmas Book Tag

It’s the most hectic time of the year! With Christmas right around the corner, here is a festive book tag!

Scarlett Reader

This tag was originally created by Lizzie Loves Books.

ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE.

The partridge stood alone in the pear tree. What is your favorite stand alone?

My favorite never changes. For those of you who have been with me, you know my favorite stand alone. LOL

B+C - banned Library

Blood and Chocolate

Author: Annette Curtis Klaus

ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: TWO TURTLE DOVES.

Love is in the air! Who is your one true pairing?

Poison Princess

This one is so hard! I’m struggling! I’m going to go with Evie Green and Jackson Deveaux of The Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole.

ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: THREE FRENCH HENS.

In the spirit of threes, what is the best trilogy you have read?

Wither

The Chemical Garden trilogy by Lauren DeStefano.

ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: FOUR CALLING BIRDS.

Since series usually consist of four or more books, what is your favorite series?

Scarlet Reader - Morganville Vampires: Glass Houses & The Dead Girls Dance

Easy pick for me. Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine has always been one of my biggest favorites and Shane Collins and Claire Danvers are another of my utmost favorite pairings.

ON THE FIFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: FIVE GOLDEN RINGS.

One ring to rule them all! Who is your Favorite Villain/Antagonist?

Scarlet Reader

Count Olaf is definitely one of my favorite villains. A Series of Unfortunate Events is one of those series that you’re never to old to read and Olaf is entertaining and memorable and surprisingly terrible yet genius villain.

ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SIX GEESE A LAYING.

Creation is a beautiful thing. What is your favorite world/world-building?

Arcana Rising

I live for the life and death, action-packed, you never know what minute may be your last, intense, adrenaline driven kind of world. I simply loved the apocalyptic world of The Arcana Chronicles. It was raw and stripped down and on the verge oblivion.

ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SEVEN SWANS A SWIMMING.

Who needs seven swans when all it takes is one good animal sidekick? Who’s your favorite animal sidekick?

Secondhand Souls

Author: Christopher Moore

Scarlet Reader

An itty-bitty girl, given the task of being death is gifted with two hellhounds, which is totally epic. She’s funny and also conniving and sadistic. She refers to her lovely sidekicks as her goggies and it’s so adorable you swoon.

ON THE EIGHTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: EIGHT MAIDS A MILKING.

Milk is so 18th century. Which book or series takes beverages/food to a whole new level?

PJ - hypable

I’ve always the Percy Jackson universe with their Nectar was mouthwatering.

ON THE NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: NINE LADIES DANCING.

Dancing is just one skill of a Lady! Who is your favorite kickass female lead?

Scarlet Reader

Mare Barrow of Red Queen is just one of many that have surprised me as a kickass leading lady. With electric abilities like hers, I’d hate to be on her bad side.

ON THE TENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: TEN LORDS A LEAPING.

How about your favorite leading lad?

Arcana Chronicles

Jackson Deveaux of The Arcana Chronicles is brash, bullheaded, but strong, and determined. Currently, my favorite leading man.

ON THE ELEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: ELEVEN PIPES PIPING.

What is your favorite book or bookish thing with musical influence? (It can be about music, reference music a lot etc.)

Scarlet Reader - The Hobbit

The Hobbit

Author: J. R. R. Tolkien

ON THE TWELFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: 12 DRUMMERS DRUMMING.

Drum roll please…what is your favorite read of this year?

Children of Blood and Bone

Definitely Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi.

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Hoped the holidays are special for all of you.

My Life in Book Tags

Hi everyone!

Scarlet Reader - Hugs

It’s tag time. I’m not going to tag anyone directly. If you want to do the tag then please do. I snagged this from Elaine Howling who snagged it from Talk Less Read More.

  1. Pick a book for each of your initials… K.J.

King Lear

Author: William Shakespeare

Scarlet Reader - King Lear

Journey to the Center of the Earth

Author: Jules Verne

JTCE

Very odd that two classics came from my initials, but they were just about all I could find that I’ve read. I LOVE Shakespeare though, so no complaints.

  1. Count your age along your bookshelf, what is it?

Black Bird of the Gallows

Author: Meg Kassel

black bird of the gallows - The Scarlet Reader

  1. Pick a book set in your city/country.

Lux Series

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Scarlet Reader - LUX

I actually went to college not too far from where the main characters, Kat and Daemon, lived, which was crazy! More so, it was so CRAZY that she has my name and is very similar to me. Weird but awesome!

  1. Pick a book that represents a place you’d like to travel to.

Out of the Easy

Author: Ruth Septyas

Scarlet Reader - Out of the Easy

New Orleans, baby! I’ve always wanted to go. My mum freaks out a little, warning me of voodoo and not to royally piss of anyone, worried I’d get cursed. I personally want to go just to explore all of that. The dark, mysterious, magic, and supernatural have always fascinated me. It gets my blood rushing and a strange adrenaline of excitement and fear.

  1. Pick a book that’s your favourite colour.

Isla and the Happily Ever After

Author: Stephanie Perkins

Scarlet Reader - Isla and the Happily Ever After

  1. Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Author: Judy Barrett, Ron Barrett

Scarlet Reader - Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

This is my favorite Children’s book. I am also a big foodie. The movies are wonderful and I gush like a tiny human every time I watch them. It’s a story of great imagination and the artwork is phenomenal. A true classic right next to Where the Wild Things Are.

Scarlet Reader - Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

  1. Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

Heart of Darkness

Author: Joeseph Conrad

Scarlet Reader - Heart of Darkness

This is a recent one too! Before this book, it was Thomas Pynchon’s Crying of Lot 49. The only difference is that I really REALLY enjoy Thomas Pynchon. He’s wild and really spins my mind out into the Twilight Zone which is always fun. Joeseph Conrad gave a massive headache and made me make a frumpy face. I was really riding the struggle bus with this book. Hopefully, I will reread it again one day.

  1. Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?

Game of Thrones

Author: George R. R. Martin

Game of Thrones - Scarlet Reader

This is only the current one. My TBR pile is pretty BIG. But for one that Coming up pretty soon? Definitely this one. I’ve heard many people say this is a great story, but that it takes a good long while to get through and that it can be a bit of a struggle. I love the show, which was also a struggle for me at first, so I’m ready to tackle the book. I’m kind of excited.

Unlucky 13 Book Tag

Scarlet Reader - 13 book tag

For years, the number 13 has been looked upon as unlucky and superstitious. Personally, it’s my favorite number and I’ve had nothing but luck with it. Though…I don’t have a lot of luck to begin with and I’m a major klutz, so…moving on!

There are many ways people avoid this number. Here are some fun and shivery factoids!

  • Many buildings will avoid having 13 floors. Hotels will skip right over the 13th floor. There’s not a row 13 on any plane either.

13 book tag

  • At least 10% of the U.S. pop. is afraid of the number 13, the phobia known as triskaidekaphobia.
  • There are even connections back to The Last Supper, as Judas was the 13th guest to arrive at the supper and is the one who betrays Jesus.
  • In Norse mythology, 13 comes into play when treachery arrives in the form of Loki at a dinner party in Valhalla, the resting place for soldiers after the ultimate battle, as the 13th guest.
  • To get witchy for a moment, a traditional coven usually has only 13 members.

Scarlet Reader - 13 book tag

  • And for those of you with those long names, if you have 13 letters in yours then you’re considered cursed in some cultures. Look at Charles Manson and Jeffrey Dahmer for example.

Got the shivers yet?

A book with a number in the title. (Extra points if it’s the number 13.)

1984 – George Orwell

1984 - flavorwire

This book didn’t scare me until the end. Serious heebie-jeebies with how it flipped my mind upside down. Many people are scared about how it relates to our present time and that’s even scarier.

A book with psychic(s).

Dark Visions – L.J. Smith

Scarlet Reader - 13 Book Tag - Dark Visions

Still a big favorite of mine. Really lit the way for psychic characters. In this one, L.J. Smith gives powers to psychics that’s dark and unimaginable.

A book with witches

Triple Moon & Double Eclipse (Witches of East End) – Melissa de la Cruz

Double Eclipse - Goodreads         Triple Moon

I actually just completed this little series and I really enjoyed it. With magic came the spoils. A lot of spoils. And a lot of drama over boys. This is proof that magic can come with riches and attitude.

A tragic book

We All Looked Up – Tommy Wallach

We All Looked Up

End of the world. Question life. Leave no regrets. This was eye-opening. I cried. Actually, there’s this part in the book and whenever I hear ‘Landslide’, the orchestral version, by Stevie Nicks, I think of it and cry. So beautiful. Really rips open my heart, as these kids set out to do the things they wished they’d down sooner.

A ‘dark’ book

The Stand – Stephen King

Scarlet Reader - 13 Book Tag

Apocalypse. The great fight between good and evil. Though a long read, I really got sucked into this and how it tied into magic and religion. Really intense and sometimes even scary when certain subjects were approached.

A book you can’t live without, like a lucky charm.

Blood and Chocolate – Annette Curtis Klause

B+C - banned Library

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it way too many times. I read this book every year. Even had to buy a new copy when my old one died. I LOVE this book. It sleep in the cubby next to my bed. I can’t live without this book. It encompasses so much-love, family, growing-up, trust, and more. Sweet moon.

Book with a black or blue cover.

Lightning – Dean R. Koontz

Lightning

Not only a beautiful cover, but a beautiful story. A man goes back in time to save the woman he loves over and over, not stopping until he can get it right. How does lightning work into this? Every strike signals his arrival. Mystifying and really sweeped me off my feet.
